During improvements along RM 2222, the City of Austin required a replacement structure to carry a city waterline and maintenance personnel over Bull Creek.
Aguirre & Fields was responsible for the design of a 7-span, skewed, tapered utility bridge replacement. We worked closely with the City to develop project scope and budget prior to beginning design services. Aguirre & Fields provided full PS&E for the project to TxDOT requirements. Special consideration was required for the 2-phase construction of the bridge. We led design coordination efforts between the City of Austin and TxDOT to ensure compatibility with the adjacent RM 2222 roadway improvements being designed to take place only 6 feet away from the new utility bridge.
