Construction is now complete on the newly rehabilitated Brazos Street Bridge, connecting US 59 to downtown Houston. Located off of Spur 527 in Midtown, the bridge impacts approximately 15,000 people per day.
Project Manager Rick Carle, P.E., ENV SP, Structural Engineer Mahsa Arastoo, P.E., and Senior Structural Engineer Oscar Aguirre, P.E. explain how, by partnering with the City of Houston, Council Member Abbie Kamin, Midtown Houston, and NBG Constructors, they were able to enhance the safety of the bridge while improving the flow of traffic for both vehicles and pedestrians.
