2010: A Year of Expansion into Municipal and Land Development

In October 2010 Aguirre & Fields made a bold move by hiring Steve Albert, PE, formerly the City Engineer of Owasso, OK, population 30,000.  Steve has a BSCE from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University. At Owasso, Steve was responsible for managing the engineering division in this rapidly growing suburban community. He managed projects including a 4-mile, 24" sanitary sewer interceptor, a 100 acre-foot regional detention pond, a new arterial highway and a 2 mile, 4-lane upgrade to a major arterial. From 1987 to 2008 Steve owned Albert Development Insight Consulting Civil Engineers in Naperville, IL. which specialized in design of roadways, stormwater management systems, water distribution systems, sanitary sewers, and grading for building sites and land development projects.

Steve completed numerous projects using Low Impact Development techniques for stormwater runoff quantity reduction and quality enhancement applied to residential and commercial subdivisions and individual building sites. Steve was a hands-on principal leading the design and staff for all projects of the firm. His responsibilities included securing and managing client contacts, fostering cooperative, effective relationships with government officials and coordinating outside design consultants serving on the project team.

Steve specializes in the economical design of water distribution systems, sanitary
sewers, storm sewers, roadways, and other types of private and municipal
infrastructure improvements. He has completed hundreds of projects for private
developers, park districts, and municipalities focusing on the use of cost-effective
solutions for site development challenges.

While highly proficient in the production of roadway and bridge plans, we also perform route studies and schematic designs of major roadways and highway interchanges.
